More than 140 couples attended the
matinee dance given at the Armory
Saturday afternoon by the Stanley
chorus of women's voices. The pro-
ceeds will be a part of the fund for
a spring trip to be taken by the club.

There are still some vacancies in
the swimming classes which are be-
ing held in the pool at Barbour gym-
nasium. Any girls wishing to enter
these should do so at once.
The class in playground instruction
will meet at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
The regular weekly tea of 'the Wo-
men's Graduate club will be given from
4:30 to 6 o'clock today in Barbour
gymnasium. All graduate women stu-
dents are invited.
Mortarboard will meet at 7:30
o'clock tomorrow evening at the Delta
Gamma house. Dues will be payable
at this time.
The regular monthly meeting of
house presidents will be held at 4
o'clock this afternoon at Barbour, gym-
nasium. All who are unable to at-
tend are requested to send a substi-

The Junior Girls' play committee

The Freshman Girls' Glee club, un-
der the direction of Miss Nora Crane
Hunt. will entertain at the Y. W. C. A.
vesper services this afternoon.
The program, which will include
Christmas carols ald'college songs.
will begin at 4:30 o'clock and will be
followed by an informal get-together
at 5 o'clock. Mrs. Byrl Fox Bacher,
dean of women and instructor in the
School of Music, is in charge of the
entertainment.
Announce Beckham-Foote Engagement
Announcement of the engagement of
Alice E. Beckham, '21, of Toledo, to
Vernon Foote, '23E, of Grand Rapids,
was made at an informal dinfer at the
Pi Beta Phi house Friday evening.
Miss Beckham was prominent in all
campus activities having been elected
to Phi Beta Kappa, Mortarboard, Wy-
vern, and Stylus. She was the author
of "Patricia Passes," Junior Girls' play
of 1920. Foote is a member of the
Kappa Sigma fraternity.
