It's work will be to prevent the circulation of un- authentic reports and to diffuse cor- rect data concerning the work of the ? campaign committee. WOMEN ANNOUNCE PLANS FOR CHRISTMAS BAZAAR LEAGUE WILL HAVE TEA ROOMS, FORTUNE TELLING BOOTH, AND PLAYS Every woman in the University of Michigan will be represented at the Christmas bazaar to be held Friday and Saturday in Barbour gymnasium in which Ann Arbor churches are unit- ing with the Women's league. The bazaar will open at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon and will close at 11 o'clock that night. On Saturday the hours will be from 9 o'clock in the morning until 12 o'clock at night. A maize and blue color scheme will be carried out in the gymnasium where the booths will be placed. Each organization will manage its own finances which it will use for its own purposes. All proceeds from the League booths will be given to the fund for a women's building. Anadmission fee of $.10 will be charged by the League. There will be a League fancy work sale, candy booth, and soap sale, as well as the tea room, fortune telling booth, and plays. A church supper will be given from 5:30 to 7 o'clock both nights by the women of St. Thomas' church. Tick- ets will cost $.75 and will be on sale at the information booth in the tea room. Each church which is combin- ing with the League in this bazaar will have fancy work and bake sales. Pennsylvania Students Organize All students from Pennsylvania are urged to attend a meeting of the Penn- sylvania club at 7:30 o'clock tonight in room 318 of the Union. MASIJES AND MUMMEAS1 TO FEATURE PROGRAMS1 CLUB TO PRESENT McFADDEN'S "WHY THE CHIMES RANG" ON FRIDAY Patrons of the Women's league Christmas bazaar will, in addition to doing their Christmas shopping early, see the Masques annual Christmas play .s an additional feature Friday night, and the entertainment to be furnished by Mummers Saturday afternoon. Elizabeth A. McFadden's "Why the Chimes Rang," a piece calling for un- usual stage- settings and costuming, till be given by masques. The lead- ing roles will be Holger, played by Ratrice Champion, '23, Berthel, Anne Mushkin, '23, Steen, Laurella Hollis, '24, and the old woman, Portia Gould- er, '24. The unusual scene in the cathedral will include a great number of actors, and the whole play is a distinctly ,lifferent type of production. Import- ant in the play will be several musi- cal numbers, which will be given by the University Women's Glee club. All costuming and staging is being done by Masques, under the coaching of Mildred Sherman, '21, and the direc- tion of Prof. J. R. Nelson. The general admission charged at the door will include admission to the entertainments. LEAGUE TO SEEK LIFE MEMBERS AMONG PATRONS Life membership cards for the Uni- versity of Michigan League may be obtained by undergraduate women at the information booth in the tea room of the bazaar during all bazaar hours. A member of the Alumnae association will be at the table during rush hours so that alumnae may sign up for mem- bership. Any girls who wish to take cards home at Christmas in order to obtain memberships from alumnae may do so if there is no unit of the Alumnae as- sociation of the University in their own town. They may communicate with Suzan Fitch, '24, concerning the matter. In case there is a unit of the association in their town they must consult with that unit before begin- ning any work. There will be posted in Barbour gymnasium a list of towns where there are Michigan Alumnae as- sociations. lBubble' Delivery Set For Thursday Orders for "Bubble," the castile and olive oil soap which is being sold by the campaign committee for the bene- fit of the building fund for the Uni- versity of Michigan League, have been delayed owing to the fact that the manufactureers have found it neces- sary to alter the proportions of the ingredients in order to mtake them conform to the needs of Michigan hard water. This delivery will be made Thursday and the soap will be on sale at the bazaar. Large bars of "Bubble" will be built into a booth where wash cloths and towels will also be sold. .The soap will come wrapped in Christmas paper. Girls who wish to sell "Bubble" dur- ing the Christmas vacation in their home town may have the soap shipped directly to that town by communicat- ing with Catherine Mullen, '23, Martha Cook building. Five girls have already ordered 100 pounds to be sent to their homes. If each of 100 women sold 50 pounds of "Bubble," $15,000 would be realized for the building fund. FORTUNE TELLERS TO OPERATE AT WOMEN'S LEAGUE BAZAAR "A review of the past-and a glimpse into the future" is the slogan of the fortune teller's booth which will be a part of the Christmas bazaar. For- tunes will be told by cards, by tea grounds, by dice.,and by palm read- ing. The fortune tellers will be in costume and guarantee you a Japan- ese fortune, a gypsy fortune or a Span- ish 'fortune according to your desire. The fortune booth will be open dur- ing all bazaar hours and the price charged will $.15.
