A stadium is to be built by the asso- ciation for the event and five and ten year script books will be placed on sale shortly. The proceeds will be used for the construction of the stad- ium. The structure will not be ready for the 1922 game according to the officials. May Play at Stanford Seating capacity at Pasadena is at present inadequate and it is not un- likely that the Tournament of Roses will be played at Palo Alto in the luge Stanford stadium that has Just been completed,. Last year's arrangements made by the Tournament of Roses committee did not prove satisfactory to the California management. Cali- fornia not only had no share in the gate receipts, but also incurred a fin- ancial loss. This year Andy Smith's Bears may play the Eastern represent- ative at Palo Alto. With a much larg- er seating capacity of 65,000, the Stanford stadium would be more de-. sirable. Bears Undefeated California's representatives at the Tournament of Roses.will be the team that has not met defeat for two years and which last year was recognized as the greatest eleven in America. This year California has won all of its games by top heavy scores and bids fair to present a more formidable line- up on New Year's day than it did against Ohio last year.
