Six veterans are back for work, and much is expected of them. G. R. Anderson, instructor'in elec- trical engineering, will be the coach. He will be assisted by Ray Cannon, one of the instructors in the Dental college. Anderson played on the 1920 team, as right wing, and Cannon was on the team for two years. Barkell to Play "Dick" Barkell, who has held down the center position for the last two years is back on the job, and much is expected of him this year. "Dick" is one of the best centers in the coun- try. "Bobby" Kerr is another veteran who will play again He is out for his old: position at left wing. Kerr is very fast, and probably the best back- checker on the squad. With these two men on the offensive, Michigan is as- sured of a strong attack. For the defense positions, MacDuff, Kahn, and Follis are again on hand to break up the rushes of the opposing team. All these men are veterans of two years' experience, and should give a good account ofthemselves. In goal Coombs, who was custodian of the net on last year's team, is out for his old job, and if he lives up to his per- formance of last year, very few goals will be scored on Michigan this year. Few Substitutes The chief worry is lack of capable substitutes. Hockey is a strenuous game, in which a change of players is constantly needed, and so far this season all men with hockey ability are urged to come out for the team. The initial meeting of the year was held last night in the )union. At present, negotiations are under way for a trip to be taken during the Christmas vacation, and also games with one or two Eastern schools. LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND?
