CUTHBERT PLANS EFFECTIVE SUPPORT AT SATURDAY GAME New Plan for Forming Block "1' Will Solve Seating Problem and Aid Cheering There will be no lack of good ef- fective cheering Saturday's game with Minnesota, according to advance plans of A. O. Cuthbert, '22E, Varsity cheer- leader., The cheering squad under his supervision has been training to handle the large crowd and Cuthbert himself will lead the cheers in' the west stand, where the block "M" will be formed. By seating Freshmen exclusively in the west stand, it is hoped that better ofganized cheering will result. There is also the advantage in that 20,000 rooters in the north and south stands will be able to see the "M". Due to the heavy demand about 200 additional places have been arranged for on the stage. Those in charge of sales will fill orders for tickets in the order of application so long as the supply holds out. JUNIOR ENGINEERS PLACE TYNES ON HONOR COMMITTEE J. P. Tynes, '23E, was elected as the second junior engineer member of the Honor committee by the class in its regular meeting yesterday morning. Talks were given by Prof. W. C. Hoad of the snitary engineering depart- ment, and R. H. Rowland, '23E, the other junior representativ'e on the Honor. Paul Goebel, president of the class, emphasized the fact that ,all men should wear their toques at Sat- urday's game. Sophomore engineers, in a business meeting held yesterday morning, ar- ranged to purchase log log slide rules at $9 apiece.
