ARMISTICE RITES

will be sounded by Mrs. Anna Berger
Lynch, of Jackson, who has attracted
wide attention- as a cornet soloist at
mass meetings all over the state. "The
Star Spangled Banner", sung by the
entire audience, will be followed by
an invocation by Rev. ,Sidney S. Rob-
ins, of the Unitarian church. Follow-
ing the invocation George Oscar Bow-
en, head of the public school music
department of the School of Music,
will lead mass singing of army and
camp songs, copies of which will b.
distributed.
A unique feature of the program
will be a flag salute, given by mem-
bers of the night Americanization
classes .of the Perry school. These
men represent several nationalities,
and are either just naturalized or
soon to be. Following the flag salute
the address of the day will be deliv-
ered by President Marion L. Burton.
This will be followed by "The Mar-
seillaise", rendered on the cornet by
Mrs. Lynch, accompanied by Fred H.
Lewis, of Ann Arbor. The meeting will
be concluded by the singing of
"America", followed by taps, during
which the audience is requested to re-
mAin, standing.
Following the services in Hill audi-
torium, open house will be observed
at Betsy Barbour for all former serv-
ice men. At 6 o'clock a banquet will
be. served to service men and their
friends at the Armory. .Tickets for
this are on sale .at Graham's. At 8
o'clock a street dance will be given
on the corner of Fourth and Huron
streets, around the court house. In
case of inclement weather, the Arm-
ory will be thrown open to the dnac-
ers, with the Odd Fellows' hall ac-
commodating the overflow.
