SOCIALIST SOCIETY WILL DISCUSS PROBLEMS TONIGHT Reorganization and a mapping out of a program for the coming year will occupy the first meeting of the Inter- cdlegiate Socialist society to be held at 7:30 o'clock Friday night in room P-162, Natural Science building. One of the most important questions is the consideration of a change of name. A feeling exists, not only in the Michigan branch but in the whole na-- tional organization, that the name1 Intercollegiate Socialist society is mis- leading as the society is not composed of socialists in the narrow sense of the word. It's aim is to promote an intelligent understanding of socialism. The society is in no way connected with the socialist party or the national sociahst organization. Here at Michigan in past years dis- cussion was not confined to socialism as such, but various public questions were taken up and radical as wel as conservative opinion was freely ex- Tressed.
