DENTAL COLLEGE ADDS NEW COURSE ]r. R. W. Bunting, secretary of the dental college, announces a new course for dental hygienists. It is a two-year course, the first year to be spent in the dental college and the second year in either the dental col- lege or in public schools or institu- tons. Eventually the graduates are to do prohylactic work in dental of- fices, in factories, and in public s"hools and institutions. The object of these workers shall be to teach pre- vention, rather than the correction, of dental diseases. Miss L. May Helmer is in charge of the new course, acting as supervisor of dental hygienists. Miss Helmer was formerly supervisor of school nurses at Highland Park.
