FRESH TRACK TEAM
NEEDS WEIGHT MEN
Freshman shotputters are in great
demand by Coach Steve Farrell, who
is giving some promising track men
instructions before the Varsity sea-
son opens. Pole vaulters, broad
jumpers, sprinters, high jumpers, in
fact, men for all the track and field'
events but the shot have put in an
appearance.
The shot putters of last year's fresh-
man aggregation were not of Varsity
caliber and if none show up this year
it looks as if Michigan will be in a
bad way for weight men in the near
future, according to Coach Farrell.
He will meet yearling shotputters

from 2 to 6 o'clock every afternoon at
the pit just south of Waterman gym-
nasium.
