THE MICHIGAN DAILY WORK ON CLEMENTS LIBRARY RESUMED AS STONE ARRIVES After nearly four weeks of suspend- ed work on the new Clements library, construction has again been resumed. With the receipt of a new shipment of stone the cornice Jalong the north] elevation of the building has been placed and the structure is assum-1 ing a form more suggestive of the completed design. Laying of the stone along the front' elevation of the building is progress- ing as rapidly as the receipt of stone permits. Although the work has been slowed up much by the shortage of stone, it is hoped that the building will be completed during October, ac- cording to the original schedule. He prepared and brought to Genoa a comprehensive program for aerial communication over Europe, but this will have to wait, he said to-, day, owing to the limited financial strength of the various countries em- braced in his scheme. "But in the United States," the Italian inventor continued, "civilian aviation promisesa to make rapid progress.I '"The country coversroughly about the same area as Europe, tand all thel elements for speedy growth are pres-I ent. I hope to contribute to this branch of American activity." Germans are showing the greatest activity in Europe, at the present time, in the field of aeronautics, ac- cording to aerial observers at Genoa during the recent conference.
