The president delivered his lecture, "Being Alive," before the American Physical Education Association at i~8:45. Speaking at the opening night of. the Free Press Radio station he took as his topic, "Drifting or Plan- ning?"' Returning to the Statler he deliver- ed his third lecture before -the Ameri- can Manufacturers Association. This treated the University from four view- points: as regards to Industry; in re- latidn to the State; considering the student and finally the University and the citizen. The lecture was devoted to im- pressing upon the manufacturers the work thtt is being done at the Uni- versity now and what must be done in the next few years.
