CI V- I O C C ?/-Or G N% L4 HONORARY' IFRATERNITY ESTBLISHED HERE FOR UNIERSITY MUSICIANS ALPHA EPSILON MU ORGANIZED UNDER STATE LAWS THROUGH WILSON'S EFFORTS Competition of the incorporation of Alpha Epsilon Mu, honorary musical fraternity, has been affected and plans for the coming year have been prepar-1 ed, it was announced at the year's first meeting and banquet of the fra- ternity last week. The first initiation banquet was held last June just before the close of school. Caused by the need for a strictly honorary musical organization at: Michigan, Alpha Epsilon Mu will fill a place in musical circles here not taken care of formerly, namely, reco- gnition for band and orchestra men who deserve distinction above other members of the two University organ- izations. Eligibility to the new fraternity is to be restricted to upperclassmen, it was stated yesterday by one of the officers, because no men will be admit- ted until they have had one year experience or more on either the band of the orchestra and' as no men are eligible to either until their second year here, elections of members can- not be made until the men's third year on the Campus. Elections will be, based primarily on musicianship, then on scholarship in the University and be the parent chapter to the national honorary. musical fraternity. It is ex- pected that the chapter here will mere- ly try out the idea of its organization here for at least a year before any expansion is attempted. Pharmic Club Commences Year All members and prospective mem- bers of the Prescott Club are urged to be present at the first meeting of the year at 7:30 o'clock tonight in room 151, Chemistry building. The club is an all-Pharmic organization whose purpose is to pursue further the study of pharmacy. Block and Kaufman, linemen, are the only regu- year's play. Indiana Bloomington, Ind.-Despite the fact that Coach "Jumbo" Stiehm will have some 12 letter men available, to form the nucleus of his 1921 eleven, he is confronted by a critical weakness, the lack of capable subtitutes. This weakness may be remedied by the dis- covery and development of talent from yearling class of last year but Stiehm is heavily handicapped by the extreme necessity for speed in perfecting the plays. Seasoned veterans are available for practically every position on the Crim- son eleven. John Kyle, of Gary, will lead the attact as captain and full- back. Kyle was picked as all-state fullback last year. MARCELLING Mrs. Stoddard has with her an ex- pert Marceller from E. Burnham's, Chicago. Phone 2652. 707 N.
