The luncheon not only marked the first anniversary of the launching of the University of Michigan league campaign but alsof served as a farewell party for 'Dean Myra B. Jordan. President Marion L~. Burton, who gave the first address after the luncheog,, said that although the Regents had specified that within five years the women must* have the funds to start the building, it was his hope and con- viction that one year from the coming Commencement the money would have been procured. He also urged the wo- men not to rely too much on teas and dances to raise the quota. If the campaign for the University of Mich: igan league is to be a success, Presi- dent Burton said that somne one per- son must take the responsibility on his shoulders to go quietly and per- sistently to each and every individual and get the money.
