With the arrival of two moving pic-
tures projecting machines at the
Mimes theater, officials see an end of
the difficulties they have experienced
in showing pictures since the theater
opened. The old machines were, im-
perfect and difficult to operate bgt the
operator, voiced his approval of the
new machines after their first trial
Saturday night. - .
Mimes has also engaged the servic-
es William P. Favorite, '20E, as their
film agent in Detroit. Mr. Favorite
is associated with several theaters in
this- capacity.
Hathaway Suffers Nervoas Brekdown
John . 'Hathaway,i"nstructor in
the public speaking department, has
suffered a nervous breakdown and is
recuperating in Plymouth. He will be
unable to meet his classes for a week
but other arrangements will be made
to care for them.
Botanical Club Meets Tonight

society will take part in an extem-
poraneous speaking contest at the
regular meeting in University Hall
tonight. Special phases of the two
general topics, "The United States
Merchant Matine" and "The Proposed
Great Lakes to Atlantic Waterway"
will be assigned to the contestants
three hours before the meeting opens.
