Plans for a hike have been made by the athletic section of the Faculty Women's club for Saturday afternoon. The hikers will meet at 3 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Walter B. Ford, 904 Forest avenue. The party rill return to the home of Mrs. Ford at 4:30 o'clock and tea will be served. In case of inclement weather the section will meet at Mrs. Ford's at 3 o'clock and there will-be a general discussion of future activities. Any members of Faculty Women's club who are interested in athletics and who have not signed up with the athletic section may attend the hike. The athletic section expects to give two activities each month throughout the year. MRS. FARNSWORTH TO SPEAK ON CAMP ORGANIZATIONS University women who* are inter- ested in the project of summer canips are invited to hear Mrs. Charles H. Farnsworth, a pioneer in the work, speak on this subject at 3 o'clock this afternoon at Martha Cook dormitory. Mrs. Farnsworth is at present the director of Camp Hanoum. She also was interested in the organization of the new- England Intercamp associa- tion which was organized for the pur- pose of standardizing girls' camps. Her broad experience in this field promises to make her llAstrated talk of vital interest to wdmen. An in- formal reception will follow the ad- dress. Installation Bapquet Plans Made The Portia Literary society held its first regular sheeting at 7:30 o'clock Tuesday evening in room 302, Mason hall. STUDENTS LUNCH MENTAL SURVEY PLANNED FOR MENILE PATITS With the co-operation of the med- ical authorities of the University and Homoeopathic hospitals, a complete mental survey of all juvenile patients under 16 years old will be begun this month. A wide variety of tests will be used including the Terman revision of the Binet scale, performance tests of sensory and acuity, and other cor- relative material for checks. The results will be combined with the medical and social histories of Mpa- tients, and will appear in published form after the record is completed. Martha Guernsey, '19, instructor in psychology, has been placed in charge of the survey. She will be assisted by Helen Davenport, '23, student in psy- chology, and Elizabeth Ornduff, '23, social service worker. FRESHMAN DEBATING TEAM CHOSEN BY ATHENA SOCIETY Tryouts for the triangular freshman debate with Adelphi and Alpha Nu which will be held after spring vaca- tion were held by Athena Literary so- siety Tuesday evening. PLAY AT MEETING Senior women decided at their meet- ing Tuesday afternoon to give a play on the type of a fantasy since it has been found impossible to give a mus- ical comedy.. Christine Murkett, '22, was appointed chairman of a com- mittee which will read' a number of proposed plays and present a resume of them at the next meeting of the senior women. Joyce McCurdy, '122, and Mildred Henry, '22, were the other members of the committee. All senior women who have plays in mind that might prove appropriate are asked to call a member of this committee. It has been decided to give the play May 12 and 13. Grim Still Abesent From Classes Prof. Burton G. Grim, of the rhetoric department, is ill at his home this week.as the result of a nervous break- down suffered last week.
