Final trials to determine the per-
sonnel of the team which will repre-
sent Michigan at Cornell will be held
this afternoon in Waterman gymna-
sium. Races will commence at 3:30
o'clock. Trials will be held in the.fol-
lowing events: mile, half mile, quarter
mile, 60-yard high hurdles, 60-yard
low hurdles, and the dashes..

The feature race of the afternoon
will be in the half mile when the pick
of the freshman class will run against.

and Douglas will oppose Isbell, Rein-
ke, and Marsh of the freshman squad
in the big event of the day. Several
of the first year runners have equal-
ed or approached the marks set by the
Varsity men, and a close race is ex-
pected. The race will.settle a bit of
rivalry that has spruig up between
the two squads.
The meet at Cornell will comprise
10 events. They will be the 75-yard
dash, the 75-yard high hurdles, 75-
yard low hurdles, the quarter mile,
half mile, mile, pole vault, high jump,
shot put and the relay.
Simmons Heads Dash Men
In 'the dash, Michigan's entry will
certainly consist of Captain Simmons
and' probably two other runners.
Burke is a fast man as is Kelley and
.Harvie. Trials this afternoon will
probably decide which men will ac-
