VARIOUS PROJIETS GWE LEAGUE $493PROIT MONEY FROM SACRIFICE DANCES EXCLUDED IN REPORT OF COMMITTEE Reports from the campaign commit- tee for the Michigan League show that since January $493.60 has been rea- lized from the candy booth and indi- vidual house efforts. Included in this amount is $76 from bridge teas, $9 from Michigan seals, $20 from riding tickets, $50 from a benefit donce, and $338.6 from the candy booth. In ad- dition to this profit a large amount of money is at present invested in sup- plies for the booth in University hall. This $493.60 does not include any money from the dances sacrificed by individual houses as this fund is being kept entirely separate until all houses have paid their pledges. Up to date $445.50 has been paid to the chair- man of the sacrifice dance committee, leaving $712 yet to be paid. .Houses. are asked to pay their pledges on the date they are due in order that the entire sum to be con- tributed may be collected and turned over to the campaign committee before the end of the semester. Membership Fees EarnedIy Girls "Thesis season is coming around again. Soon there will be the usual rush to have typewriting done in a hurry. Here is a wonderful chance for some girls to earn money to pay for the first installment on their League membership fee. Even if they don't own a typewriter they can, rent one for a small sum and people will be willing to pay almost any price to get their work done on time." K. G. T. "We have just hada 'white elephant' sale at our house to earn money for our League memberships. We wanted to have a 100 per cent house so much but several of the girls said that they couldn't afford it. The result of our sale is that we soon expect to be dis- playing our 100 per cent sign. Besides making some money for the League we had a lot of fun and got some real bargains too. Each girl donated at least one thing that she could get along without and many girls gave more. Afterwards we had a auction sale and sold the things to the highest bid- ders. Each girl kept the proceeds realized from her donations to apply on her membership." F. L. N.
