Patrons of the "Mai," who have read
and enjoyed George DuMaurier's cele-
brated novel "Peter Ibbetson," are to.
have the opporunity of seeing its
screen adaption "Forever," produced
under the masterful hand of George
Fitzmaurice, for four days, beginning
Sunday.
For the benefit of those who are not
familiar with this classical work of
the famous French author, it sufices
to; say that the. story is laid in the,
suburbs' of Paris,' and deals with the
lives of two children of circumstance,
who, played with by the hands ,'of
fate, find themselves at middle age in
unhappy circumstances, the girl, the
wife of an aristocratic rake, the boy,
serving a life sentence in prison.; In
his dreams, the b~oy sees the sweet-
heart of his childhood. The girl be-
comes a :widow and they both grow
old, sweethearts in their dreams.
However, with that- delicate touch of
symbolism,, these two unfortunates
are relieved of their earthly burdens
and united in spiritual bonds.
In addition the immortal Charlie re-
turns to Ann Arbor in a revival, of his
first $5,000,000' comedy "A Dog's
Life"-better than ever.
For the remainder of the week 'an
excellent production has been booked.
"dust Around the Corner," an adapta-
tion of a Fannie, Hurst short story,
is worthy of the praise given its cele-
brated forerunned "Humoresque."
THE ARCADE
Dainty Wanda Hawley is at the Ar-
cade on Sunday and Monday ins a
clever and unusual story, "The Love
