LEAVES TOMORROW FOR
ILLINOIS RELAY -MEET
--
Coach Steve Farrell will take a
party of 17 track men, Manager Bail-
ey, and Trainer Billy Fallon to Ur-
bana tomorrow morning for the Il-
linois relay carnival. The W'olevr-
ine colts hope to frisk through the
meet and return with a goodly col-
lection of gold watches and silver and
bronze medals.
In the trials yesterday afternoon the
doubtful places in the relay teams
were filled. By virtue of a tie race'
in the quarter mile in the good time
of 54 seconds, Rankin and Joyner
won the right to run with Siemans
and Thomas on the one nile relay.
team. These two men are improving:
with every day's work. Rankin, should
knock off an exceptionally good race
on the dirt track at Illinois, for the
smaller track here bothers the big
quarter miler considerably. Thomas
and Siemans are men of proven worth.
They can be expected to carry the

fine work in cohpetition.
