AQUATIC MEET
Swimming material of a high qual-
ity was discovered among the fresh-
men last Thursday night, when they
won the interclass swimming meet by
a score of 43 to their opponents 25.
Kerr, '25, was the individual high
scorer of the evening, obtaining 13
out of a possible 15 points. He cop-
ped first in the 100-yard back stroke,
and 220-yard free style, with Bab-
cock, '24, his main opponent in both.
In' the 40-yard free style he finished
second.
The next highest point winner, Tay-
lor, '25, furnished the thrills of the
evening. In the 40-yard and the 100-
yard free style, he got away to quick
starts, and left his opponents in the
wake. His time was fast in both
races. Hecovered the 40-yard inb20
4-5 and the 100-yard in 1:3 2-5.
Good Plungers
Three good plungers were brought
to light in the plunge for distance.
John, '23E, a late entry, took the long-
est plunge within the stipulated time
of 60 seconds, making 50 1-2 feet. At
the same time, Muzzy and Tarrant,
each made 48 1-2 feet, tying for sec-
ond place. Afterwards each took an
additional plunge to break the tie. In
this, Muzzy covered the remarkable
distance of 54 feet, and Tarrant went
farther than the mark made by John.
