SPECIAL.VACATION TRAIN TO
CHICAGO DECLARED LIKELY
Extra Student Coaches Will Be Sent
to Al Important
Points -
"Although almost two weeks remain
between now and spring vacation, we
have nearly completed the sale of tick-
ets on the second parlor car. If the
demand is as constant as it has been
the past two weeks," said A. J. Wise-
logel, local Michigan Central railroad
ticket agent, "a special train will prac-
tically be assured to Chicago, Ill." This
train will leave Ann Arbor at 1:23
o'clock Friday afternoon, April 8.
"Pullmans have been secured for
New York, and it is highly probable
that a car of Michigan students will
be ordered for Buffalo and points
east," said Mr. Wiselogel,
"It would' make It infinitely more
convenient if students who intend to
purchase tickets for the special cars
would signify their intentions as soon
as possible in order that any last
minute demand may be avoided," said
Mr. Wiselogel.
Miss Mary F. Minnis, Chiropodist,
will be at the Saunder's Hair Shop to-
day. Phone 2673-M for appointments.

quin, gayly clad and debonair, seeks
to elude Columbine, with whom he
fears he will fall in love. Colum-
bine is determined, however, and in
the weaving of their romance lies the
plot of the playlet.
The coaching and direction of this
first Mummers' play I entirely under
student direction. Katherine Potter

and stage arrangements.

SEVERAL INJURED
IN D. U. R. WRECK
Several persons sustained minor in-
juries late Sunday afternoon when the
rear section of the Jackson-Detroit
limited, leaving Jackson at 6:05
o'clock, crashed into the first car of
the section on a slight curve a few
rods east of thetChelsea station stop.
The motor of the first car burnt out
a short distance beyond the Chelsea
"station and was hit by the second car
a minute later. The rear car is said
by eye witnesses to have been travel-
ing at a mimimum rate of 25 miles
an hour, and the crash was a terrific
one. The fact that the oncoming car
wes seen several seconds before the
collision enabled the passengers on the
rear platform of the first car to jump,
and others directly within the car to'
battle their way to the front. The
rear of the first car was completely
wrecked and the'front of the second'
car, which was of steel, badly shat-
tered.
A number of .-University students
were'on each of the two cars. Pas-
sengers were detained at Chelsea for
more than an hour until the wrecked
car could be removed and extra cars'
brought from Jackson.'
The motorman of the rear car'
blames the brakes of the car for the.
accident, claiming that they had not
worked properly any of the way, and
that although he threw the car into
reverse, it was impossible to avoid the
crash.
