Of this num- ber 8 will engage in the special indi- vidual events, the remaining 7 to make up the two relay teams, namely, the mile and two mile squads. Cap- tain Butler will compete in both of "the relay events. Coach Farrell has decided not to enter a team in the four mile run as his milers have not yet shown enough to merit a place. Nor will Michigan be represented by a quartet in the medley relay. Two Events for Butler The mile relay squad will be made up of Captain Butler, Wetzel, Wheel- er, and Thomas. Of the 10 440 men who ran time trials yesterday after- noon to determine the personnel of the mile squad, these men covered theI -distance in the best times. Tuesday afternoon Griffith overcame Karpus in a close match 20 to 17. That1 same evening Loeb put Bronson un- der by a score of 20 to 6. Last night Moeller defeated Frounfelker. Today Bronson meets Karpus. There are no handicaps in this tour- ney, each -man starting at the same point of 20. The calibre of the con- testants is only slightly below that of the men who played in the class A tourney. As in the first event, Al Tay- lor, Union billiard room manager, had the men play him a match. They had to make 13 points or more to his 25.
