Inspectors of the state food and
drug department raided the soft drink
establishments of Frey Brothers, 114 II
West Washington street, and Oswald
Dietz, 122 'West Washington street
late Saturday night and conficated
about 20 cases of patent medicines
which, it is claimed, contained .a high
percentage of alcohol.
No arrests have been made, nor any
statement given out by the prosecuting:
attorney. In the meanwhile the con-
traband is being held at the county
jail.

wil deliver an address on "Emile Ver-
haeren" at 4:15 o'clock Wednesday

The lecture is the first of a series of

the auspices of the Cercle Francais,
