MAKIELSKI WILL DISCUSS EXHIBIT' Leon A. Makielski, ;instructor in architectural drawing, will give an in- formal gallery talk at 3 o'cock today' ,in Alumni Memorial hall, at which time he will discuss the paintings by American artists which have been on exhibition since Feb. 6. This will he the last opportunity to view the pic- tures as the exhibition ends today. Mr. Makielski spent the Christmas holidays at the University of Virginia where he was employed in painting a portrait of Professor Duhnington, the head of the chemistry department of that institution. The picture was pre- sented to that university'by the stu- dents, faculty and alumni in appre- ciation of Professor Dunnington's 47 years of service to the university. The portrait, according to critics, is an ac- complishment worthy of Mr. Makiel- ski's ability as an artist of the first rank.
