Union Gives Tags
To LifeHembers
Inauguratng a new method of rec-
ognizing paid-up life members, the
Union has placed an order with a De-
troit firm for 20,000 identification keyj
ring tags. Since the first of the year,
more than 6,000 tags have been sent
to life members who have made final
payments on their pledges, and many
communications have been received by
Homer Heath, general manager of the
Union, expressing thanks for so use-
ful and appreciative an acknowledge-
ment.
The tags are oval in shape and of
nickel silver. One the face is stamp-
ed th e man's membership numbier, and
also the official Union seal with the
words "University of Michigan Union,
Life Member." The reverse side con-
tains the request "Please return to
the Michigan Union, Ann Arbor,
Mich." Lost keys will thus be sent
to the Union, and'the owner can be lo-
cated.
Popularity of the tags seems to be
due partly to the fact that often cards
of membership become lost or torn,
while the tag will remain intact and
always be easily available. Only ful-
ly paid up life members will receive
tags.

BLVEBOO KSf
Editor, the Michigan Daily'
Thee has been much interesting
talk about introducing the honor sys-
tem into university examinations, but
I think while the large classes are
still afflicted with proctors, we might
profitably agitate a system of silence
among those proctors during the ex-
amination period. Perhaps we could
raise their standards until they ceas-
ed to regard the occasion as a time of
glad reunion. I was a sufferer in two
classes this year from such disturb-
ancts, and I heard many similar com-
plaints from others.
It is bad enough to have someone
trampng up and down the aisles, but!
this year there was in addition an un-
usual amount of chatter and laughter
among the instructors supposedly
vigilantly watching for cheating. This
conduct may be a blessing to the
would-be cheaters and a pleasant di-
version for the instructors, but it is
really not conducive to well organ-
ized thought. Let's reform the fac-
ulty as well as the students. j

P,

Mrs, Fox was bragging one day about the large
number of her cubs.
"How many cubs do you bring into the world at
one time?" she asked the LIONESS.
"Only ONE," replied the Lioness-"but it's a
LION."
MURADS COST 20 CENTS for a BOX
of 10-BUT THEY'RE MURADS!
MURADS would be lower priced if we left out
all or part of the 100%p Turkish tobaccos of the purest
and best varieties grown-or if we substituted inferior
grades of Turkish tobacco.
But they wouldn't be MURADS-they'd only be
Foxes!

Introducing rfhe[-Skayllet
Toilet Requisites
On Friday of this week, Mrs. Wood, of New
York, late of Sweden, will introduce to the wo-
men of the university and the city, these marvel-
ous toilet articles. liforder to acquaint you with
the articles, Mrs. Wood has made arrangements
for private facial treatments, which she will give
free to every woman who appears here on that
day. Mrs. Wood, who took her training as a
masseur in Sweden, has personally cared for
members of the Swedish royal family and for the
society women of Sweden. She will demonstrate
to everyone the purity of these toilet articles and
will use them alone in her treatment. Powder,
cleansing cream, paste rouge, dry rouge, lip
rouge, and massage cream and almond bar
cream, 'all made after famous Swedish formulas
and guaranteed to be absolutely pure and to
nourish and preserve the beauty of the skin, will,
in this way be offered to the women of Ann Ar-
bor. This is not a demonstration in the common
sense of the word. Mrs. Woodguarantees that
you will see results from this first treatment
which she will give, free, personally. Every wo-
man in Ann Arbor is invited to take advantage
of this offer.
