AND JUNIOR COLLEGE SQUADS TO FURNISH OPPOSITION Before the next issue of The Daily puts in an appearance Michigan swimmers will have engaged in two dual meets, one with the Detroit Ath- letic club on the evening of Friday, Feb. 18, at the D. A. C. pool, and the second with the Detroit Junior college furnishing the opposition in the pool of the Detroit Y. M. C. A. on Satur- day, Feb. 19. A victory over the fast D. A. C. team is not expected by Coach Dru-' lard, for the Detroit aggregation is made up of swimmers of national fame, men who have won honors at the country's greatest aquatic events. Last year, in the first dual meet in which Michigan ever participate& she D. A. C. defeated the Wolverines by the overwhelming score of 40 to 10. Expects Close Score This year Coach Matt Mann expects no such decided victory over the tank men of the Maize and Blue, for Mich- igan swimmers have had the oppor- tunity of- displaying their ability be- fore him more than once during the present season and his respect for them runs high. Coach Drulard will be more than satisfied if the Beavers~ are held to a close count, a victory seeming all but out of the question. D. J. C.
