ENGINEERS ELECT UNDER NEW PLAN New classification plans in the eng- ineerIng college do not conflict with , the regular student classification onf Friday and Saturday, Feb. 18 and 19. A survey was made, from which to estimate the number ofrstudents tak- ing each course the coming semester.- Following this, a preliminary classifi- cation was made by the classifi- cation committee, and this work isE still going on. The permanent class-{ ification will be made on the two days mentioned, vvhen2 students will make1 final arrangements for courses. According to Prof. Arthur J. Deck-, er, chairman of the classification com-1 mittee, the plan' does not take away any former privileges of the students. "The student,' he said, 'has more time for consultation with his instructors regarding future work. Arrangements can be made for the necessary class- es, with sufficient knowledge to more greatly equalize the number of stu- dents in each class. Thus, it is hoped, much of the former overcrowding will be eliminated. There is also less lia- bilityj of mistakes in classifying, as both student and instructor have more opportunity to consider the matter." Prof. Young Speaks in Grand Rapids Prof. L. J.
