I I. HOCKEY OPENER AT COLISEUM TONIGHT Michigan's informal hockey team will open its season with a game with the Detroit Rayls at 7 o'clock tonight on the inside rink at the Coliseum. Arrangements for the contest were completed yesterd'ay. The .Michigan sextet defeated the Detroiters 7 to 1 last year. On Saturday the Wolverines will meet another'industrial team, the Wa- terston of Detroit. This game will be played at 4:30o'clock in-the after- noon.. Both of these opponets are rep- resented by strong hockey aggrega- tions and should furnish the Michigan team stiff competition, especially -when it is considered that the Wolverines have had little practice this season. Captain Kerr, the Maize and Blue leader, has been declared ineligible. It is- not yet certain whether this will prevent his participation in the two games this week, since the co'mpetition is not collegiate, it will keep him from making the five day trip which the squad will take into the northern part of the state next week His loss will hurt the team immensely as he 'was one of the principal cogs in last year's unbeaten sextet.
