Positions yield an income not only for the summer vacation. but continue to provide an income after one returns to college, and a student who starts as a Freshman. should by the time he is a Senior have an annual income, on business he has established during his sum- mer vacation of several thousand dollars and instead of being burd- ened with debt when he leaves col- lege his senior year, have a good bank account each month or a busi- ness he can sell to some one else, if he no longer wishes to take care of it. It is not like Life Insurance as it has no delays from medical examinations, there being none and far better than house-to-house ped- dling of articles as there is no costly delivery and every day dur- ing the summer can be applied to increasing the business. Mr. Cobb who paid his Expenses through col- lege selling books says of it: "I find Accident and Health more pro- fitable, for the reason that it furn- isles a wider field and the agent.re- ceives his pay as he gets the busi- ness and is not required to finance himself until deliveries are made in the fall as in canvassing house-to-, house articles during the summer." Although Mr. Cobb did not start with the National Casualty Co. till August 10, he now has an -income of $500 per month. Those interested should see Mr. Baldwin, Manager of the Farmers' Department of the Na- tional Casualty Co., which has open- ed an office on third floor at 310 State St. 74-1 WILL PERSON who found leather notebook Tuesday kindly return notes if not cover. All four class- es and seven house groups have en- tered the contest, the lists of which are now closed. No more applications for places in the stunt contest will be received, but house groups may come in group costumes and enter the cos- tume contest. There will be a per capita tax of 10 cents to cover part of the expense of the party. W1omen Chaperones for this week's dances are as follows: Union, Friday, Mrs. H. S. Berger; Saturday, Mrs. Walter Sherman. Armory, Friday, Miss Mar- tha Hills; Saturday, Mrs. Yates Adams. The board of representatives of the Women's league will meet at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at Barbour gymnasium. The time has been chang- ed from 9 o'clock as was first announc- ed, because of a meeting of Collegiate alumnae at that time. The board of directors of the Wom- en's league will meet at 9 o'clock Sat- urday morning in Bar'bour gymnas- ium. All girls who do social service work, are requested to report at Newberry hall at their regular hours instead of at the University hospital. An important meeting of the fresh- man girls' social and stunt commit- tees, will be held at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon in Barbour gymnasium. Children's Wards Under Quarantine All of the children's wards in the University hospital have been placed! under quarantine, which act suspends all social service work in the hospital. The social service workers are urged to report at Newberry hall at their regular hours, in order that toys and scrapbooks can be made and sent to the children in quarantine. 0e amab I To Has Played CAPACITY For Fou HOUSES Days r A SFNAPPY REVUE Nith 20- WRILIES There is no reason for Girls gambling, is there?
