THIS WEEK PENNSY CLUB TO GIVE SOMETHING NEW IN DANCES Introducing a new type of afternoon dance, the Pennsylvania club will give a "Pennsylvania plan" dansant from 2:30 to 5:30 o'clock Saturday after- noon at the Union. It will be open to the whole campus, tickets being avail- able to men and women of all schools and classes of the University. Under the new arrangements, the floor will be cleared and tickets col- lected after each dance. This will enable couples to stop in for a dance or two at any time during the after- noon, without the necessity of buying regular tickets. Perforated tickets, good for five dances may be purchased for 50 cents at the Union and Gra- ham's on Thursday, Friday, and Sat- urday. Tommy Thomas' seven-piece, two- piano orchestra, will furnish the mus- ic. A special feature will be the mar- imbaphone playing of Burton E. Hyde, '23, who has appeared several times in campus musical performances. Faculty Concert Sunday Pleases PRESIDENT TO GIVE FOUR ADDRESSES ON STATE TRIP President Marion L. M. Up Late (By S. B. C.) Another successful concert by fac- ulty members of the University School of Music took place last Sunday aft- ernoon in Hill auditorium. Miss Marion Struble, violin, and Mrs. George B. Rhead, piano, played the allegro, adagio molto expressivo, scherzo, and rondo movements of Bee- thoven's "Sonata, F major, Opus 24," as the first section of the program. The audience was delighted with the easyavitality which the little violinist displayed in her work. Recitative, "E Strano!" and aria "Ah, fors' e Iiu" from Verdi's, "La Traviata" were sung by Mrs. Grace Johnson-Konold. She also gave the last number of the program with three songs by Cox, Grieg, and Dell 'Acqua. Mrs. Rhead, with her characteristic ease of execution, brought repeated applause from the audience.
