Practically all of the 18 character parts are filled and the girls will be notified within the next few days. Most of the lyrics are written and work on the music is progressing rap- idly, according to Edna Groff, '22, chairman of the play committee. Re- hearsals will begin during the next two weeks. Due to the great number of tryouts the cast will represent the best talent of the class. The choruses which have not yet been fully decided on will be composed of girls who have had ex- perience rather than amateurs. Both the committee and the director, Prof. John L. Brumm, feel that the "sual success will be accorded this year's play, and that It will take itsf place in the annals of the Junior Girls' plays as being even better than ever before. Masques In Vogue At League Party. Instituting a new feature, the grand march and the first two dances will be masqued at the fancy dress party which the Women's league is giving on Saturday evening, Jan. 22, in Bar- bour gymnasium. At similar dances in previous years it has been customary that no masques should be worn, but this year the dancers will remain dis- guised during the early part of the evening. The contests, besides the stunt com- petition, are to be for the most careful- ly worked out group costuming, for the manilest man, the most attractive girl, and the most unique costume, without regard to character. The prize for the group costuming will be awarded en- tirely on the basis of the unity of the representation. Plans for the stunts are well under way, under the directorship of the vice-presidents of the classes, and the heads of the various houses.
