ILA Val J'.va le. t1 i L~A91t.4 d ., ....- , The Stage AT THE WUERTH When the much-touted Rainbow Revue makes its initial appearance to- morrow at the Wuerth theater, Ann Arbor will be given the opportunity of seeing a show fresh from New YorkI and the bright lights of Broadway. In the cast one finds names that are fam-1 iliar to all regular theater-goers as performers of some note: Helene Mc- Cree, little Gertie Hoffman, a dainty danseuse, John Roberts and an en- semble of 25 pretty girls who enliven the offering with their clever dancing and chorus singing. The program is replete with song and danec numbers, with King Jazz{ in supreme command, and music that is equal to that of any Broadway pro- duction. The Revue will play at the Wuerth the entire week of Jan. 9. Garrick (Detroit)-"Not So Long Ago," with Eva Le Gallienne and Sidney Blackmer. ..I The next meeting of the city coun- cil will be held on Monday evening, Jan. 17.I Nick Flackus and Gust Menos, both of Ann Arbor, were taken into custody about 11 o'clock Friday morning while airing their differences over Greek: politics. Menos took the side of Ven- izelos while Flackus did not approve of the premier at all. As a result of the argument both drew fines of $5 and costs, amounting in all to $9.05 in Judge Thomas' court. The three men arrainged by Judge Thomas fo'r burglary will appear be- fore Judge Sample in the March term of court. It is believed that the ar- rest of these men will end the epidem- ic of robberies which has been taking place in Ann Arbor during the holi- days. According to law the sheriff must store and account for all liquor seiz- ed. At the present time Sheriff Pack has about three loads of liquors of var- ious kinds securely barricaded in the county jail.
