AND GREAT FUTURE PROMISE
George M. Gilmore, '21, is Mich-
igan's first swimming captain. That
the honor is more than deserved is
shown by the consistent work of the
star distance man for the past two
years on theinformal Wolverine tank
squad.

Lasf season he was the most re-
liable of the 220 and 440 yard swim-
mers and this year he has borne out
the promises of the past, both in
practice and in actual competition.

star of the Michigan water men in the
