Another episode was a meeting of

at center played a better game than
last year and, with the addition of
Dunne, this position will be well tak-
en care of. Duke was never out-
jumped by any opposing center last
year.
Although early indications are not
a basis for conclusions it appears that
Michigan has a team this year fully
as capable as last. However, other
Big Ten schools are well fortified with
veterans and the Varsity will be fac-
ed with some powerful teams when
they meet Wisconsin, Chicago, Illi-
nois and Purdue.

Profit at $6 a Week
Showing that money was made last
year when a students' organization
received $6 for board the first semes-

their food department cleared about
$500 and made allowance for all
overhead expenses except rent. About
30 students ate at the table and were
well satisfied both with the quality
and quantity of the food.

SALVATION ARMY

RECEIVES $200

The receipts from the Salvation
Army kettle campaign up to last night
totaled a few cents over $200. The
kettle placed near the campus for the
convenience of the students has made
a very poor showing so far. With
only 13 more days remaining until
Christmas it does not look as though
the people of Ann Arbor and the Uni-
versity are responding as well as they
did last year. Last year's fund was
in excess of $750.
