Harrison Foundation 2 . - OTHER REVISIONS MADE BYt COLLEGIATE ASSOCIATION -In recognition of the increased costc of student expenses important changes< have been authorized in the provisions for fellowships and scholarships on the George Leib Harrison foundationi at the University of Pennsylvania, and also for the fellowships of the National Assoblation of Collegiate Alumnae. In the graduate school of the Uni- versity of Pennsylvania two fellow-1 ships are offered to persons holding1 the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and the stipend .attached to. each of these fellowships has been fixed at $1,500. 10 Fellowships of $1,000 Ten fellowships are offered to can-. didates 'who hold a baccalaureate de- gree And who have had in addition one year of graduate work. The sti- pend in 'this instance is $1,000. Six scholarships yielding a stipend of $200 per annum are open to students hold- ing a baccalaureate degree and desir- ,ng work in the graduate school. Under the terms of the association of Collegiate Alumnaerfellowships for 1921-22, the Alice Freeman Palmer memorial fellowship for research work in the graduate school is open to American women holding the Ph.D. degree and has a stipend of 11,000 per year. The Sarah Berlinder research and lecture fellowship is open to wo- men holding a Ph.D. degree and is worth $1,000. The A. C. A. European fellowship, open to American women for research work in Europe, is worth $750' per annum for the period 1921- 22. The Anna C. Brackett memorial fellowship,, open to women with an A.B. degree, calls for $700 this year. Latin-Amterican Scholarship The Latin-American fellowship, open to natives of the Latin-American re- publics for study in the graduate schools of this country, is worth $750, the Gamma Phi Beta fellowship which is open to college graduates who have done 'at least one year of graduate work yields $500, and the R*se Sidge- wick memorial fellowship open to British women for graduate study in the United States offers $1,000.
