"4 LJU L Y INTERCHURCH WORLDI M0VMENT NOT FAILURE Boston, Mass., Nov. 16.-The Inter- church World ,movement was "far from a failure" in the opinion of Bishop Thomas Nicholson of Chicago, who today addressed the committee on conservation and advance of the Methodist Episcopal church. He add- ed that a plan was afoot "to bring1 all interdenominational Protestant forces together in a forward move- ment of larger proportion than any yet undertaken." "The movement brought together the Protestant churches in a co-oper- ation never before known to them, and actually resulted in the raising of $155,000,000," said Bishop Nicholson. "It has left a deepening conviction throughout the nation that there must be a perpetuation of the things %for' which that movement stood. As chair- man of the reorganization committee. I can say that we have just completed in New York a- three days' series of conferences with various interdenom- inational organizations. We found a universal desire for the reorganiza- tion and continuance of the Inter- church movement either under that or some other name. "The meeting in New York last week convinced me more than ever before that the aims and ideals of the last three years are desirable, profitable, and workable. We shall learn by our mistakes but we shall go forward on large lines." CUBAN CURRENCY WORN OUT; NEW MONEY BEING DEMANDED Havana, Nov. 16. - Americans in Cuba have joined Cuban bankers and business men in making fresh com- plaint of the worn-out money in cir- culation here. Except silver, the only currency in use is American. It has been changing hands so often that it is tattered almost beyond the point of recognition, and health experts have declared that much of it is a public menace. Bills that once were green now are brown and yellow. The edges are frayed and the best small bills ob- tainable even from banks is so fright- fully filthy that If found in the States would be quickly called in and de- stroyed. PROF.
