THE MICHIGAN DAILY STUDENTS CHOSEN BY STANDARD OIL Two University students in the Graduate school were chosen by Dr. A. A. Snowden, '02, of New York, who was in Ann Arbor Friday and who has charge of the selection and train- ing of men for foreign service for the Standard Oil company. t Applicants swarmed to the Union all day to inquire about their prospects for positions, but Michigan's quota this fall is only two men. Their names could not be obtained for publication, because they must first make good in the three months' training school in. New York. They will then be sent into the company's foreign service in Asia or the Balkan states. Donald W. Springer, '19E, president of the Union during the year 1918- 1919, has a position of this kind at Cal- cutta, India. DAILY SUBSCRIPTIONS DUE All Michigan Daily subscrip- tions should now be paid. Those who are now getting The Daily who have not paid the $3.50 rate by Nov. 10, will be charged $4.00 for their subscriptions. Please either mail checks to The Mich- igan Daily office, Press building, or call in person.
