C. signal corps unit, a visit was paid to the University yesterday by Major P. W. Evans of the signal corps headquarters at Washington, who re- ported everything to be in satisfac- tory condition except that the number of men enrolled is not as large as is desired. Electrical Engineers Wanted "It is the desire of the chief signal officer of the army to enroll as many electrcal engneerng stiudents as pos- sible," said Major Arthur yesterday in commenting on the work of this division of the local R. 0. T. C., "and for that reason,.the signal corps has been revised and has been made even more interesting than before." A special opportunity is to be giv- en freshman engineers of the Univer- sity in the matter of enrollment. Any freshmen in the engineering college may, according to the new ruling, en- roll in teh signal corps branch of the R. 0. T. C. with the understanding that should they later decide to take up some form of engineering study other than either electrical or com- munication work, they shall be allow- ed either to drop their R. 0. T. C. work or transfer to some other branch. All freshmen who are inter- ested are invited to confer fith the professor of military science and tac- tics in room 239 of the Engineering building. New Man Assigned In making the changes in the signal corps curriculum, the office of the chief signal officer has transferred Capt. James A. B. Bogman of the signal corps from Camp Alfred Vail, N.
