The Women's Athletic association will hold its first ten mile hike at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, starting from Barbour gymnasium. Announce- ments of other hikes will be made later. Try-outs for the Freshman Girls' Glee club will be held at 4 o'clock Monday and Wednesday afternoons in room 204 of the School of Music. Athena Literary society will hold its fall try-outs at 7:15 o'clock Tuesday night in the Alpha Nu room on the fourth floor of University hall. Every girl on the campus is eligible to membership, the tryouts consisting of three minute extemporaneous talks on any topic selected. A manuscript of an old Junior Girls' play has been placed in the upper reading room in the Library for the use of all girls who are interested in writing a play for this year.
