SLUSSER SLATED TO TEACH
DRAWING IN SUMMER SCHOOL
Instruction in drawing and painting
will -be given in the Summer session
by Mr. Jean Paul Slusser, '09. Since
his graduation Mr. Slusser has contin-
ued his study of architecture and
drawing in schools in this country and
abroad.
During this time a number of his
pictures and Batiks have been on ex-
hibition, some of his work being shown
at the Art Institute of Chicago and at
the recent exhibitions of the Architec-
tural League of New York, at the Met-
ropolitan museum. This latter mate-
rial is now being shown in Boston
from where it will go to various art
institutes.
Mr. Slusser will teach freehand
drawing and painting in water color
and oil. His courses will be open
to all students who have had sufficient
preparation.
ACADEMY OF SCIENCE PICKS

The Michigan Academy of Science
has chosen a committee of conserva-
tion for the purpose of recommending
to the state conservation commission
action which may be considered neces-
sary for the welfare of the state in this
connection, and for bringing before the
state legislature the need for such ac-
