Screen Special services in honor of Memn- orial day at Ann Arbor churches this morning and evening will attempt to give particular meaning to the day as a commemoration of our soldier dead. At nearly every church in the city some special reference to the occa- sion will be made either in th~e sermons or music that will accompany the ser- vices. Memorial Sunday will be marked at the Congregational church by a ser- mon by the pastor at the 10:30 o'clock services on "~The Soldier Emeritus." "Memorial Service" is the subject of the morning devotions at the Presby- terian church. At 6 o'clock in the evening there will be a meeting un- der the direction of the World Service department, whose subject will be "Overseas Service." At the First Baptist church the Rev. J. M. Wells will speak on " Peace and Armament." Sunday school will be held at noon, followed by a Guild meet- ing at 6:30 o'clock. "Prepare for Peace or .War" will be the minister's subject at the 10:40 o'clock service of the Unitarian church. He will give a frank discussion of the problem as a. moral issue, with spec- ial reference to the meaning of Me m- orial day in relation to it. Holy Communion at St. Andrew's Episcopal church at 7:30 o'clock will be followed by the annual service in honor of the veterans of three wars at. 10:30 o'clock, with a sermon by the rector on "The Reason for War."' The address by the curate at 4:30 o'clock will be a continuation of the subject, "Manuscript Bibles." The pastor 'of the First Mthiodist churohi will discuss "The Art 'of 1te- coliiig" at the 10,$Q o'clopl sp vie. bMpsical vespers will be sung by the choir at4 :30 o'clock in the 4fterigoon, With some well known works of Got- pd and Mendelssohn for themes. PACKARD STREET CAR JUMIPS; TRACKS; NO INJURIES RESULT A southeast bound Packard street car was derailed in the rain storm at 6:50 o'clock Friday night when the trucks jumped the tracks on Packard street ,at Monroe. The car which was turned almost end for end remained upright, however, the several passeng- ers being uninjured. An interurban car, towed the street car out of the way, and traffic was not held up.
