Washington, May 18. -- Announce-
ment of the .decision of the railroad
labor board to readjust downward
wages of employees of the carriers
was received with some reserve to-
night by railroad exe~uti~jes who are,
here in connection with hearings be-
f're the senate interstate commerce
committee.
Because the percentages of decrease
have not been determined, the execu-
tives generally regarded the announce-
ment as more or less indefinite. There
was also some indication of disap-
pointment because the revision would
not become effective until July 1.
