TODD COLLECTIONAS MANY RT TREASURIS~ "I consider this collection repre- sentative of both the French and lBritish schools of the present day, and consequently this exhibition of- fers an opportunity to compare mod- ern British art with modern French technique," said Hon. Albert M. Todd of Kalamazoo yesterday at the open- ing of the Todd exhibition of paint- ings in Alumni Memorial hall. Mr. Todd' has spent much time abroad studying the art of France and England as well as that of other countries in both Europe and Asia and has for nearly 50 years been col- lecting art specimens from all over the world. Besides the paintings there will be on exhibition after today many rare pieces of sculpture as well as many antiquated books which Mr. Todd' himself gathered from all over Eu- rope, Asia and Africa. One of the first bibles ever published will be contained in thle collection along with a copy of Mohammed's Koran which is more than a thousand years old. GLEE CLUBS SING BENEATH CAMPUS SORORITY WINDOWS Continuing their annual spring ser- enading, members of the Musical clubs of the Michigan Union entertained a large number of sororities during the course of last evening, the music and soigs lasting until the early morning hours. Catchy tunes and humorous lyrics permeated the air and together with a collection of old Michigan songs con- stituted the program of the clubs. ".The Friars Song" and "College Days" were the favorites and were applauded repeatedly when rendered. The entertainment given by the clubs last night completed the spring ser- enades which have been given during1 the past two nights. All of the sor- orities and dormitories on the cam- pus were serenaded. For Phil Diamond's Orchestra, call 2395-M.-Adv.
