SPRING SPOTLIGHT SCORES SUCCESS WITH NOVEL ACTS (Continued rrom Page One) Spotlight Offerings an4 it should be used again. Robert Dieterle, "24M, sang to the accompaniment of the sex- tette and the combination was pleas- ing. McCandless Encored - Robert McCandless, '21M, is a sing- er who never fails to get enthusiastic encores and the songs he chose for the performance were especially ac- ceptible. The act by John Cunningham, "23E, Henry Morton, '23E, and Ge6rge Schemm, '23, opened the bill. Their songs were clever and new. The Spring Spotlight played to a fairly well-filled house and the house was satisfied. Let us pray that it will result in the permanent addition of a piand to the Union orchestra. Incident- ly, since that organization so far out- stripped its work during. the opera, it aws entitled to a little more respect; the audience might have waited until the last selection was completed.
