E position, with Kappa Beta Psi retain-
ing sixth due to the rise of Alpha Sig-
ma Phi. In connection with the stand-
ings, it may be noted that the 50 points
awarded to each, house entering the
football tournament last fall has been
included, thus raising the totals.
Entries for the interfraternity base-
ball league have been coming in rap-
idly, a total of 46 houses having thus
far signified their intentions of put-
ting teams in the field.

CRUICKSHANK COUNTED ON
FOR POINTS THIS SEASON
Weather in the past few days has
not been favorable for any sort of
track work, and Coach Farrell has
been unable to give his team much
work on the outdoor track. With the
next meet two weeks off, however,
there is not a great deal of worrying
being done yet. Favorable climatic
conditions for 10 days will put the
squad in first class shape for the Ohio
State meet.
Yet to Prove Outdoor Strength
One of the causes of the failure of
the track team on the western trip was
the lack of outside practice, but only
an unusually prolonged rainy period
can bring about this condition in the
State meet. Consequently, the Mich-
igan returns from this contest will be
watched with great interest by all
followers of Conference track. Mich-
igan looked good in the 1921 indoor
meets, but has yet to prove her
strength over the outdoor cinders.
Cruickshank is one of the surest
point winners on the Varsity squad.
He has won every running broad jump
event in which he has entered this
year, and seems to be quite the class
of the Conference in this contest. His
performances in the two hurdles at
California prove him to be a stick top-
per of ability, and one that will make
trouble for the rest of the Big Ten
hurdlers. He would have won at least
one of the two races in the Berkeley
meet had he not just finished leap-
ing in the broad jump.
Strong in Weights
More than any other group of men
will the Michigan weight heavers be
watched this spring. The Varsity has
a squad that is not to be equalled in
the middle west, if they can be given
an opportunity to practic before the
Conference meets start. With Stipe
and VanOrden in the shot put, and
Stipe also throwing the hammer ef-
fectively, Dunne and Hoffman good
javelin throwers, Farrell has 'sure

So he went and gone and did it;
Had his noble likeness snapped,
And he gave it to the lady
And the maiden fair entrapped.
For his ever-present features
Andthose all-entreating eyes-
Always near her, fond, reminding-
Took the fort by sheer surprise.
Now the maid is Mrs. Teddy.
And is Teddy happy?-Well-

By defeating Alpha Sigma Phi in the
finals in the interfraternity volley
ball tournament., Delta Upsilon took a
long leap in the direction of the in-
terfraternity cup, placing herself a full
37 points ahead of her nearest com-
petitor, Sigma Nu. Incidentally, Al-
pha Sigma Phi, by placing in the fin-
als of the tourney, climbed from eighth
to fourth place in the standings.

the relative standings was the drop of

FRATERNITY THREE CUSHION
TOURNEY TO BEGIN MONDAY
Plans have been completed for the
interfraternity three cushion billiard
tournament which will begin Monday
at the Union billiard room under the
direction of Al Taylor. All fratern-
ities are eligible by depositing a fee
of $1.
Each fraternity may enter one play-
er, and the tourney will be conducted
in the form of an elimination. A silv-
er loving cup will be awarded to the
winning fraternity,
This tournament is expected to
arouse considerable interest among
the different fraternities as miost of
thent have several good billiard play-
ers.
INTRAMURAL TENNIS NOTICE
Entries are now open for both
the fraternity and All-campus
tennis tournaments and should
be made at the Intramural office
at once. Two man teams will
compete for fraternity honors,
and entrants in the campus meet
should specify when signing at
what hours they are certain to
be free to play. Call at the of-
