After the completion of this trip the Wolverines are idle until April 24 when they open the Confer- ence schedule with Indiana university at Bloomington. ' J ARMY ATHLETES HAVE CHANCE FOR COMPETITION IN OLYMPIC Washinton March 27-Army ath- . ri ALL GYM CLASSES TO CONDUCT TESTS Competition between -the freshman gymnasium classes to determine thef class average in 'all-round develop- ment is occupying the attention of Dr. May and his corps of, assistants during these last weeks of gymnasium ,work. "There are four essential at- tributes in the all-round development of the body," said Dr. May. "These are speed, endurance, strength and co-operation. The eight tests which we are giving will sound out the men on these qualities." Eight events are being usea for the purposes of these tests. The 50-yard dash will test for speed, the half-mile for endurance, the broad and high jumps, and the bar vault for co-op- eration, and the rope climbing,, chin- ning, and shot-put for strength. A minimum average is, set in most of these events and the number of men falling below this standard will be recorded against each class. In the broad jump and the shot put, how- ever, a new class average will be' taken.
