Women teachers are badly needed in Mexico, according to a letter re- ceived by Dean Myra B. Jordan from Nora E. Darwin, '19, who is an in- structor in the Colegio Palmore, Chi- huahua. Miss Darwin requests that a list of names of those who would be interested in education in Mexico. As training for this work Miss Dar- ,win suggests a thorough preparation in one's major subject, knowledge of the Bible, courses in ethics, sciencesI such as psychology and- biology, and training in playground and gymnas- ium work. Miss Darwin states that good health is essential. The salary paid by the Methodist church board is $750 a year, traveling ,expenses, and a furnished roon. Wiley, '21, has the dis- tinction of being the only woman to have been ' awarded a sweater from the Women's Athletic association this semester't Miss Wiley is one of about six girls who have won sweaters for honor points, having earned the re- quired 100 points necessary to earning a sweater. These points were ear'n- ed in five semesters.
