THE' [CAL HITS CAMPUS MAT EXPERTS WILL HAVE CHANCE IN COMPE- TITION Any man who can wrestle, 'thinks he can, or doesn't know, has a chance to find out, and at the same time show a bit of real Michigan spirit, by sign- ing up for the wrestling tournament, the first bouts of which are to be run off next Wednesday afternoon in the wrestling room on the second floor of the gymnasium, and on Saturday and Wedneday afternoons following. All Weights May Enter Entries are open to men of all weights, and the lists will be posted in the wrestling room.' Men shodld sign up on these lists. The bouts will be refereed by Andy Meadows, '22L, who has had wide experience, jfartic- ularly in the Eastern Conference. The judges will be Jack Pollock, '20L, and H. M. Nowlen, '20, both of whom are experienced men. Rues for Bouts The following rules should be spe- cially noted as governing all match- es, a rolling fall does not count; pits falls only being counted as wins. The time of each bout will be 10 minutes, and at the end of that time, if fneither of the contestants has secured a pin fall the match will be decided by the judges. If they are not satisfied of' the superiority of one of the men an extra five minutes wrestling will be done. All strangle holds, full net- sons, and hammerlocks are barred, and the toe hold may be used only in breaking a body scissors. LAEBY'S' LITS WINNER IN 'BASKETBALL LAST NIGHT In the departmental basketball league last night Laeby's lits defeated Finch's lits by a 21 to 20 score, The game was well played throughout and the result was in the balance until the last minute of play. Randall was the star for the winners, scoring 11 of their points. Abbott and Conklin play- ed the best game for the losers. Navak's accounting team easily de- feated .the electrical engineers. The score was 23 to 8. Navak scored most of the points for his team.
