After runs of over a year in New
York and six months in Chicago, Da-
vid Belasco's "Tiger Rose," a play of
love and adventure written by Wil-{
lard Mack, will be presented tonight
at the Whitney.,
"Tiger Rose" is an out-and-out mel-
odrama, boldly depicting the primi-
tive passions of the tempestuous life
in the Canadian wilds. Few stage
stories have attracted auditors over
and over again, yet the strength and
beauty of the love of Rose Bocion is
said to be a magnet that has repeat-
edly drawn people back to see "Tiger
Rose."

"Up in Mable's Room" comes to the
Garrick theatre, Detroit, next week
after a five months run at the Woods
heater in Chicago.
The plot of the play revolves about
the attempts of a newly married hus-
band to recover a gift, which he had
given to a feminine friend in a mo-
ment of indiscretion, in order to al-
lay the jealous suspicions of his
bride. The ensuing difficulties give
rise to the -title, "Up in 'Mable's
Room."
SCHUIBERT-DETROIT
