The dividend payable to' each member amounts to 10 per.cent of the price of purchases made during the fiscal year ending July 1, ,1919. Only the three upperclasses will ben- efit from' this year's dividend. Johis Hopkins - The alumni of Hopkins have organized a varsity club. The object is to promote inter- est in school athletics in the alumni and to broaden the scope of the uni- versity's, athletic campaign. Minnesota - An airplane ride .has been planned for the. woman at the University of Minnesota who gets -the greatest number of subscriptions for the Gopher, the monthly publication of the university. Oklahoma-Twelve houses will be- built soon on the 40 acre plot of ground tobe taken over as a new re- stricted university addition by the University Home Builders' corpora-' tion. The addition is directly west of the administration building, on the same street as the university, green house. The corporation was capital-k ized at $100,000 to' build homes. No house may be built in the addition costing less than $,000 and the con- sent of the corporation must be secur- ed before land will be sold. Iowa-Students in home economifes at Iowa state college recently held a day of celebration: , Displays were made of methods of decorating and setting tables and exhibits of cooking and sewing. In the evening vaude- ville'acts were presented by the home' economics students. One of the novel features of the publicity work were the sandwich girls who advertised the day's festivities. OklahoMA--Col. Carl Baehr, com- mandant of the university-R. O. T. C. unit, told university officials recently that the men at the University of Ok- lahoma are more physically fit than the men in many other states in the union.
